About Toni
Toni Hickey is an ANA board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She was born in South Florida and has been a resident of Pinellas County since early childhood. She has worked in healthcare as a Registered Nurse in various settings including neuro and cardiac Intensive Care Units. She obtained her nursing degree from St. Petersburg College and her Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.
Toni is highly motivated to make an impact in the lives of her patients through the use of therapeutic, and pharmacologic evidence based practice while caring for her patient population of all ages. She will work collaboratively with the other providers and therapists to result in improved patient care outcomes. She believes in fostering a trusting relationship with mutual respect and effective communication. Her model is to provide psychoeducation and therapy using patient centered care as the cornerstone of care. Toni’s goal is to assist her patients in advancing toward higher levels of mental health and wellbeing.
